When you add or edit any question that awards points, look for this nifty toggle:

By default, questions offer up to 1000 points when a player responds correctly. You can toggle this to 0 or 2000 if you'd prefer.

## How points work

Points are awarded based on speed of answer. This is how points are calculated:

**Divide response time by the question timer**. For example, a player responded 2 seconds after a 30-second question timer started. 2 divided by 30 is 0.0667.**Divide that value by 2**. For example, 0.0667 divided by 2 is 0.0333.**Subtract that value from 1**. For example, 1 minus 0.0333 is 0.9667.**Multiply points possible by that value**. For example, 1000 points possible multiplied by 0.9667 is 966.7.**Round to the nearest whole number**. For example, 966.7 is 967 points.

For math wizards, this can be expressed as:

⌊ ( 1 - (( {response time} / {question timer} ) / 2 )) {points possible} ⌉

### Can I disable the speed of answer point reduction?

While you can't disable the speed of answer point reduction for live games, you can disable the question timer when assigning challenges. Disabling this timer will remove the point reduction.

How do I turn off reward points?

Why can I not turn off the streak option now? I always turned it off to give all students a fair chance. It makes it almost impossible for students outside the top 5 to win and they become disengaged. I dislike that this is forced on us now.

I want to turn off points for some questions. How can I do that?

It would be great if i could choice more options than only 3 variants of points amout (0, 1000 or 2000).

i love you

Can we have more than 3 winners at the end? Like top 5 or 6 winners?

I would also like to be able to turn off points for streak, is this something that used to be available? Why was it removed?

I just ran a Kahoot, and everyone who got 100% accuracy for 6000 points.

Why? Isn't there meant to be a time penalty? What have I done wrong?

There should be options to award or not award bonus points. Or give students their raw scores in addition to total points. Seriously, you're making my life difficult!

Deseo desconectar los puntos por racha. ¿Cómo se hace?
