Did you know that you can link or embed kahoots on all sorts of web services, such as learning management systems or password-protected websites?
Shortcuts
It's not possible to embed private kahoots as they are available only to the creator. To embed your kahoot, you need to make it public or unlisted.
Linked kahoots
Linked kahoots use the shareable link available on public kahoots. They allow quick access to hosting a live game or assignment. When someone clicks on your link, they'll be taken to your kahoot's details page where they can choose to sign up or log in. Game reports are tied to their account (if they sign up or log in), not your account.
Embedding a shareable link
Any public or unlisted kahoot can be embedded in an iframe. Look at the URL for the kahoot below. Notice that it ends with a long string of numbers. This identifies the kahoot.
To create an embeddable link, take that kahoot identifier and replace KAHOOT_IDENTIFIER in the following block of code:
<iframe src="https://embed.kahoot.it/KAHOOT_IDENTIFIER" width=620 height=280></iframe>
Now, you can paste this code anywhere that supports iframes. You can also tweak the width and height to ensure things look as good as possible.
Embedded assignment
Availability of embedded assignments depends on your account and plan type.
Embedded assignments are a special block of iframe code that you can use anywhere that supports iframes. They allow quick access to playing an assignment. When someone accesses the web page your kahoot is embedded on, they can enter a nickname and start playing immediately.
How to embed an assignment
- Go to the Library and make sure the game is either public or unlisted.
- Assign the kahoot.
- Adjust the deadline and options to your preference, then click Create.
-
On your assignment's report, open the Report options menu to access the Embed option.
-
Copy the embed code.
- Paste the code into any iframe-supporting platform you want!
How to adjust settings for an embedded assignment
Assignment options cannot be adjusted after an assignment has been created. But the deadline can be changed anytime before it expires. Simply go to your assignment’s report from the Reports page and choose to change deadline. This brings up a prompt letting you adjust or remove the deadline.

As kimteach46 says, "I did what you said to do, but it would not embed onto my web page". There's been no response to other comments here, so I'm not holding my breath, but a bit of guidance here would be nice.
