My drafts
Hi, I just created a kahoot ... unfortunately it only saves in "my drafts" and I can't move it to "my kahoots"
How do I save to kahoot and not to my drafts?

Same problem here! I can't stand to lose all the work I have put into this one!

Go into your settings
change Private to Public
then the option to publish comes up

I actually found that once I went for the premium membership, (thank goodness it is free right now) the problem evaporated. Would have been nice to know! I wasted a lot of time on Kahoot today.

PS I don't WANT my Kahoot game to be public. It was trivia specifically related to my classroom of kids.

How turn drafts to kahoot! I also waste a lot of time. Everyting is saved to drafts, i hate it.

I'm having the same issue. I even edited my draft, removing all of the answer questions.

I can not get my kahoot out of drafts so it can be played. Suggestions? I haven't ever had this problem before today.

You have used an advanced feature in one of your questions. I had the same problem. if you want to use advanced features then you have to pay!

Hi hope this helps when I clicked DONE I received a pop up Failed to Save. After spending lots of time I removed 3 questions that were true or false, this allowed everything to save and work as it had. Hope this helps.

Very sorry to hear you all are struggling with saving issues. There are currently a number of reasons this might happen. I'll try to summarize:
- Be sure that you're using the "Done" button in the top right corner of the creator.
We've seen that there's confusion around this, given that we've implemented an auto-save feature. Auto-save aims to help prevent data loss in case a kahoot wasn't saved properly. It doesn't automatically make changes playable. In case your browser closes while your game is in an unplayable state (like you added a new question but didn't add answers yet), autosave will still save your changes without causing your kahoot to be unplayable.
- Have you used any locked features? Such features usually have an orange crown icon next to them.
These features will require you to upgrade to a higher plan if you wish to save a kahoot with them. If you don't want to upgrade, then please remove any such features.
- There are some limitations that are, on occasion, exceeded in ways that our system can't currently check before you attempt to save. Note that we have measures to check for these limits beforehand. But under certain conditions, these checks are circumvented in error.
- Kahoots can't exceed a total of 100 questions/slides
- No image can exceed 5MB or resolution 3264x3264, and must be in RGB color mode. We only support PNG, JPG/JPEG, and GIF (animated ok) image files.
Note that the above advice is for our web platform (https://create.kahoot.it). If you're using our iOS or Android mobile app, the same constraints still apply. However, our team recently discovered a separate issue/bug in our iOS app that caused an error that showed a "failed to save" pop-up when saving. If this is happening to you in the iOS app, please ensure that you're using the latest version of our app. We think this was fixed last Friday, though we're still gathering data to ensure this.
- Be sure that you're using the "Done" button in the top right corner of the creator.

Make sure you choose "single select" for each question if you are using the free version. "Multiple selections" can only be made in an upgraded version.

Sorry , anglish his not my first langage.
Only use "single select" and minimise the number of drawings, pictures.. (take to much memory)
After a delete a couple of images, i't work, my draft was save
But I have to say, right now, in time of COVID, even if they offer a free trial, they ask you for your paiement info.!?! After that misappen, They lost my trust and I'm affraid I do the free trial and they will Hostage my stuff.

I had the same problem UNTIL.....
I went back and manually changed all the slides I had created to a "single select" response option (there is a small drop-down feature next to the answer option area).
This seems to be a new feature that automatically defaults to "multi select" response. Once "multi select" is selected, Kahoot won't let you publish the new game unless you enter credit card information for a free trial because "multi select" is a premium option.
Once I went back and made the change -- and all the questions were "single select" -- I was able to save and publish like usual.

What is the point of saving to drafts if you can't move it to your folder in order to host a game?? Any options in moving from drafts to another folder?? Can't recreate all the work that I've put in! Any help?? Brutal software!!

This happened to me but figured out what was wrong. I had used a premium feature which was multi select answer instead of single select answer. The multi select is premium feature so you can save and publish if you’ve used this.

I finally figured out the issue but only by going through the app on my phone where it showed that I couldn't use an image that was slowly being revealed! I logged back into my account on my laptop and change the image to original and finally it saved! Can't believe that on the lap top it doesn't have the same feature as through the app that tells you why it's no saving correctly! Thank you for your comment :)

hi, i'm facing the same problem. i've already chosen single-select for all the questions, deleted a lot of images, and even tried to save my kahoot on both my phone and computer. but i still can't get it out of the drafts!! and there's always a pop-up when i try to save it that says my kahoot "failed to save". please help!
