Allow Nicknames but also keep real names!
I was in the Kahoot EDU summit and I was wondering the same thing as many of the teachers in the youtube chat about nicknames. For me personally, as a 2nd grade teacher, a HUGE aspect of playing Kahoot for 2nd graders is that they get to use a fun nickname! I love it but like so many teachers, it makes it hard to analyze the data. It would be SUPER amazing if there was a feature that would prompt students to 1st add their real names, but then as a teacher enable it or disable it for them to add a nickname. I think a huge part of Kahoot that my kids love is the anonymity of it all, it's not as embarrassing to get the wrong answer because nobody really knows who is who because they use nicknames. I would LOVE this feature!

This is a great idea! My high school students love the nicknames as well, but I agree, it's hard to interpret the data or hold them accountable for participating during distance learning.

... it's not hard to hold them accountable - IT"S IMPOSSIBLE!!! I agree with you, and I'm totally baffled as to why this is not remedied in some fashion. We need to know how our students perform here for accountability, as well as for the chance to give points/credit for grading
