Distance Learning on Zoom
It would be useful when I'm hosting a zoom, for students to do a kahoot i've made, if they could get a link, go the site and all play live. Their screen would show the questions and answers and the colours to click on and they would see the results after each question to see who is in the lead. That way they don't have to split their screen to see the questions and they also wouldn't need another device. Many kids don't have access to multiple devices.

Absolutely. I agree. I know that in brick-and-mortar schools, Kahoot has found that the students are more interactive when they have to look up at the teacher's screen. But with E-learning, it would be very helpful if the students could see the choices on their screens and the teacher didn't have to share his/her screen.

Agreed. This is already available in the self-paced 'challenge game' why not make it available as a setting for live games too. My students are all on ipads and zoom wont support splitscreen so the only way to do it on a single device is have kahoot floating over the top meaning you can't read all the question or answers. Unplayable without a second device.

Yes! Please do this! I'm going to have students joining from home (probably all year), it's frustrating that they have to have two devices to play.

For those of you following this thread, I have decided to leave Kahoot. I have switched to Socrative.com, which is a no-frills option. There is no music, no bright colors, and no score-keeping (although it does give you data at the end). Socrative has a free option which offers multiple choice and fill-in-the-blank questions. Socrative can be teacher-paced or student-paced. If you are willing to pay $60 per year, Gimkit is quite amazing but over-stimulating for some students. For Gimkit, you can turn off some of the more advanced bells and whistles.
