Drive deeper learning and accuracy with multi-select kahoot answers.
In a classical quiz question in a kahoot, it’s possible to mark more than one answer as correct. However, in order to win points, the players need to choose just one correct answer. Multi-select allows players to select multiple correct answers and be awarded for every correct answer they choose.
How to enable multi-select?
You can enable this feature while creating your kahoot:
- Add a quiz question and mark correct answer options
- On the left-hand side, choose Multi-select under Answer options
How are points calculated for multi-select?
The maximum a player will be awarded is 1000 points for every correct answer, meaning the maximum of 4000 points
- 1 correct = 1000 points
- 2 correct = 2000 points
- 3 correct = 3000 points
- 4 correct = 4000 points
- 1 or more incorrect = 0 points
The total points given decreases the same as regular questions as the time runs out. All questions offer maximum points if you respond correctly in under 0.5 seconds.
To calculate points, round ( (1000 x Number of correct answers) * ( 1 - (( [response time] / [question timer] ) / 2 )))
How will the players know it’s a multi-select question?
Before such a question is displayed during gameplay, players will be notified it’s a multi-select quiz. Here’s what their screens will look like when answering in a live game. They’ll need to select all answers they think apply before submitting:
