I would love to see a game mode that borrows/steals from Puzzle Pirates.
Of course in Puzzle Pirates the different ships had different crew capacities, and that wouldn't work for Kahoot.
However, the "ship" could have different positions, and each position would add to the bonuses of that position on the ship.
I propose the ship grows as more players join, until the game is started. So if there are 30 students in the classroom then it would be a very large ship, if there are only 5 students it would be a small ship with 5 positions.
I would have two special officer positions of "Master Gunner" and "Helmsperson." And the rest would be sailors, carpenters, bilgers, and gunners.
For the rest of the positions, I would keep it simple and allow multiple players to each join the same position (two people or ten people on a single cannon, the game shouldn't care how many).
Players answer questions correctly to increase the power on the station, when the power max is reached the station gives a token/chip/point or whatever.
So, if the ship has four cannons, then after four points in cannons all four cannons are loaded until used.
For sailors, just allow the sailors to store up an unlimited number of sailing power, so when all the cannons are loaded players can jump on the sails.
Carpenters answer so many questions correctly and get repair points to repair the ship.
Bilgers answer so many questions correctly and they get to pump the bilge down to lower the water level.
The questions are the puzzles, but there could be little games between. For example, the bilgers might push a bilge pump to pump it and lower the water. The carpenters might place a puzzle piece similar to the way Puzzle Pirates did it to repair a hole. Gunners might have to do some puzzle to load the guns, after they've answered the questions correctly.
Anyway, the helmsperson decides how the ship moves on the battle map. The master gunner decides when to fire the port or starboard guns.
Or perhaps you could work out something better and more fun.
But, I think it'd be great to have a game mode inspired by puzzle pirates.
