I am an ESL teacher and have students of different ability levels.
On questions where students can type the answer: I would like to be able to give the students "Gold Stars" for answering one of the 'more correct' ways, and give everyone points for answering any of the correct points. I'd also maybe like to give double points to the students who answer the 'more correct' way, because the 'more correct way' takes longer to answer.
For example, I have a question: "How's the weather?" And a snowy scene for the image. It is a typing your own answer question, so students could answer: "Snowy" and that is acceptable for my less capable students, but the students could also answer, "It is snowing." And I would like to give the students who write the complete sentence bonus points and a 'gold star' to collect. Then at the end the student with the most gold stars could have their own award.
This could also work for multiple answer questions (optionally per the question not the Kahoot/quiz), if the students answer only one of the multiple answers they score however it scores, maybe partial points, but if they answer all of the answers they score better and get a star.
The question itself can be a "star question" and the teacher/creator can place the stars on the answers to mark it as a star answer for the typed answer and make the question a star question. For multiple choice, the teacher could choose a checkbox or dropdown for "star question/answers" so if the student answers all of them correctly they get a star.
Note, sometimes the correct answer requires all of the multiple choice. Sometimes, not as much. It depends on the teacher's goals. There are times I would like to aware students for partial correct answers and others better for completely correct answers.

Thank you for your detailed suggestion regarding the "Gold Stars" and bonus points feature for typed answers and multiple-choice questions. Currently, Kahoot! does not support the specific functionality you described.
However, your idea is very valuable, and I will forward it to our product development team for consideration. In the meantime, you can manually track and reward students based on their performance using external methods, such as a physical reward system or a separate digital tracking tool.
