I have been using Kahoot in orientation training for almost 3 years. There are two things I would really like to see in a future version:
1) The ability to add more time to Robot Run, Submarine Squad or similar games. For Kahoot games with over ~20 questions, the additional time would be very helpful.
2) Option to remove the leaderboard or scoreboard from classic/team Kahoot games. One big issue I'm finding is that people feel a lot of embarrassment if they are not doing well and that can demotivate them from wanting to play additional Kahoot games.

To avoid podium, you can try hosting the game in Lecture experience. In this game mode, unlike Classic mode, scoreboards are hidden by default to keep students focused on the material. You can choose to display them or the final podium only if and when you feel it adds value to the discussion.
