    Hi landenlove71!

That definitely sounds like quite a burden. I'm sorry you're having to go through that each time you sign in.

In the digital climate we're in today, data security is more important than ever and we want to make sure customers can trust that their data is safe. As part of our security measures, email verification may be required if your account is frequently accessed from different devices and/or locations. Below explains some options that might offer some relief with this.

The steps you mentioned about clicking to verify on mobile and using an authenticator sound like steps specific to your email provider's sign in method. These are not features of our own sign in method. You might want to explore if the authentication settings of your email account could be adjust to make verification quicker.

We support multiple single sign-on (SSO) solutions, such as Google, Microsoft, and Apple. If you have an email hosted by one of these companies, simply update your account to have that email on file. Then the next time you sign in, use the matching "Continue with..." button to link your account with that SSO solution and sign in.

There is also a "Continue with Single Sign-on" button that can be used if you're part of a large EDU or Enterprise plan. An IT admin at your organization can work with our team to set up a custom SSO solution that bypasses our device/location security check.

  • 2-Factor Authentication with Mobile Phone not Email

    Hello,

Please consider 2-factor authentication rather than email. This will allow for immediate access rather than having to log into email again, etc. Further, the email verification gets caught up in enterprise software protections so it was difficult to get back to the system. 2-factor authentication following most banks, universities, etc., would be the best way forward.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Nigmendra!

If you're part of a large EDU or Enterprise plan, we can help an IT admin at your organization set up a custom SSO solution that incorporates your preferred 2FA method.

  • Hello Kahoot IT Support, Thank you for that option. That process would need to go through a security verification process in my institution which can take a while. I'm just suggesting, for example, I go into My Account enter my cell, verify that it is my cell that receives notification, and then my account has 2factor authentication. This is how banks, etc., do this so I'm wondering if there is not an internalized solution Kahoot could underake?

  • Hi Nigmendra! Adding an MFA solution for all users to optionally set up is definitely something we can consider. But that suggestion strays a little from what this post is about (improving our existing email verification system). Can you please create a new post under Reports and accounts about your idea?
