How to assign a kahoot to class island in Kahootopia
☝️ To assign a kahoot, you’ll need to have at least one island created in Kahootopia.
Go to kahoot.com and log in.
Browse or search for the kahoot you’d like to assign.
Click Assign. A pop-up window will appear with assignment options.

Choose the class island you want to assign the kahoot to.

Once an assignment is created, you’ll see a notification on the island confirming it.
Visual progress on the island:
Before completion → A gift box with a timer appears on the island.
After completion → The gift box is replaced with a house and a small flag to mark the achievement.
☝️ If you reassign the same kahoot, no new house will be created. Instead, the existing house will be moved back to “In progress.”

How to check students' progress
Go to your class island and locate the kahoot assignment.
Click Go to reports tab from the assignment.

Only educators (K–12 and Higher Ed) with access to Kahootopia can assign kahoots to class islands. Students cannot create or assign kahoots - they can only complete them once assigned.Can I assign the same kahoot to multiple islands?
Yes! You can assign a kahoot to more than one class island if you want different groups of students to complete it. Each island will have its own progress tracking.Do assignments expire?
Depending on your plan, you may have the option to assign a kahoot without a deadline. If you set a due date, students will need to complete the kahoot before it closes.What happens if students don’t complete the kahoot on time?
If the due date passes, students won’t be able to submit answers. You can always reassign the kahoot or extend the deadline.Can students redo an assignment for extra practice?
