The Lost Pyramid Kahoot! experience: how to play

The Lost Pyramid experience is a unique collaborative learning adventure that will captivate your players right from the start. Participants within the team vote for the correct answer and indicate their level of confidence in it. The greater their confidence, the further up the pyramid their team goes.

Important!

• The maximum player limit for The Lost Pyramid Kahoot! experience is 200.
• This experience supports quiz, true/false, type answer, puzzle, slider, quiz+audio and pin answer types of questions. Other question types will not be asked.
  💡 Before you start The Lost Pyramid Kahoot! experience, you can review which questions will be included.
  
• By default, there will be four teams in the game lobby.
  💡 You can add more (up to 6 in total) by clicking on the + button in the top left corner of the screen.
  💡 You can remove teams by hovering over their names and clicking the trash icon.
  
• Lobby videos, custom themes/music, question time limits, and point settings are not applied.
• The time limit per question is always 2 minutes regardless of the kahoot creator’s settings.
  💡 The purpose of The Lost Pyramid experience is to facilitate discussion among players. Longer time to answer a question encourages the team members to voice their opinions and discuss other points of view before answering.
• Reports are generated and can be viewed, but they cannot be downloaded at this time.

How to start The Lost Pyramid Kahoot! experience

1. Start a live game.
2. Select The Lost Pyramid experience and click Start.
   
3. Instruct players to join the game.
4. Once everyone’s in, click Start again in the top right corner. The host’s screen will display a short tutorial. Encourage the players to pay attention to it.
5. After the tutorial, the game will start and the host’s screen will display a short presentation of the team line-ups and a pyramid.
6. To go to the first and next questions, click Next in the top right corner. 
   💡 The host controls the pace of the game.
   💡 The host’s screen will display questions and the pyramid after each question.
7. The game ends when one of the teams reaches the top of the pyramid. 
   It can happen before all the questions are displayed. If you want the remaining questions to be played, click the Extra time button in the bottom right corner of the final screen.
   

How to play The Lost Pyramid Kahoot! experience

1. Join the game. 
2. Provide your nickname and select the team. Make sure to be able to talk to your teammates to discuss the questions.
   💡 You can change teams before the game starts.  Click the Exit icon next to your nickname.
   
3. Once the host starts the game, look up on their screen to see the animation and the pyramid.
4. Read the questions on the host’s screen and discuss them with your team.
5. Vote for the answer.
   
6. Answer the Are you sure? question to indicate how confident you are in your answer. 
   💡 You can choose Yes, indicating you’re very confident, or Maybe if you have some doubts. In the later stages of the game, you’ll also see the Totally! option to indicate you’re more than sure that your answer is correct.
   ☝️ The more confident you are in the correct answer the more steps your team will gain. Be careful though! You lose more if you select Yes or Totally! and the answer turns out to be incorrect than when you answer Maybe.
   
7. Look up on the host’s screen to see your team’s progress on the way to the top of the pyramid.
