How to integrate D2L Brightspace LMS with Kahoot! LTI

Step 1: Start LTI configuration from the Organization space

1. Click Create LTI configuration button.
   
2. Click Create manual.
   
3. Fill title and Continue.
   
4. Leave this open for later.
   

Step 2: Create a tool for deployment

1. Go to https://kahoot.d2l-partners.brightspace.com/.
2. Register a new tool. Go to Admin menu and choose External Learning Tools.
   
3. Click New Deployment.
   

4. You'll need to have a tool registered first to be able to create the deployment. Follow the images or go directly to the tool registration URL - https://kahoot.d2l-partners.brightspace.com/d2l/le/ltiadvantage/registrations/home.
   

   

5. Follow the images to finish the registration.
   
6. You'll get the following details you need to fill into your Kahoot! LTI configuration.
   
7. Fill the details as follows and leave the window open (deployment id will be generated later)
   

Step 3: Create a deployment

1. Go back to where you started creating the deployment or https://kahoot.d2l-partners.brightspace.com/d2l/le/ltiadvantage/deployments/create. Follow the pictures for more details.
2. Under Make tool available to, select the courses or org units where you want Kahoot! to be available.
   
3. The deployment should be created and enabled; you have also generated the Deployment ID.
   
   

Step 4: Finish the LTI configuration

1. Go back to Kahoot! and fill in Deployment.
   
2. The created configuration should be visible in an Active state.
   

Step 5: Create a link

1. Go to our deployment (click on the name), and click the View Links at the bottom of the page.
   
2. Click and Create link and continue as follows.
   

Step 6: The final test

1. Go to a Course and choose the course content where you want to add an assignment.
   
   Choose Existing activities → The link should appear in the menu; if not, try clicking on External Learning Tools.
   
   The usual login page should appear, and you will be able to choose from the content.
