How to enable Multi-Factor Authentication for your Kahoot! account

How to enable Multi-Factor Authentication

1. Log in to your account.
2. Click the avatar icon in the top right corner of the screen.

3. Select Profile settings from the dropdown list.

   

4. Click Turn on multi-factor authentication button.

   

5. A pop-up window will appear with a QR code:

   • Open your authentication app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator).

   • Scan the QR code or enter the setup key manually.

   • Enter the 6-digit code from your app into the provided field.
   

6. Remember to download backup codes in case you lose access to your authentication app.
   
7. ✅ MFA enabled! Next time you sign in, you’ll be asked for a verification code from your authentication app. 
   

First time login after Multi-Factor Authentication enabled

Once you've enabled MFA, you'll be asked to enter a verification code from your authentication app each time you log in.

☝️ You can check the box labeled “Don’t ask again on this device” if you want to skip the code on future logins from the same device.

🚫 Lost access to your authentication app? Click “Try another way” and enter one of the backup codes you saved when you first turned on MFA for you account.
