It would be good to have the option of disabling the timer on live host Kahoot! Some students have indicated that while they are fine doing Kahoots! as an inclass group participation thing, seeing the timer on the screen creates anxiety. It would be helpful if the timer could be disabled, or at least set high and the countdown timer not shown on the screen.

Thank you for your feedback regarding the option to disable the timer on live host Kahoot! games. Currently, Kahoot! does not offer a feature to completely disable the timer during live games. However, you can set a longer duration for each question, which might help reduce the anxiety caused by the countdown. Additionally, the countdown timer is always visible on the screen, and there is no option to hide it at this time.

I have the same request, some students need more time and are pressurised by the timer, it would be great indeed, to be able to disable it!
I'm going to try a Kohoot in lecture mode to see what happens and if I can get scores just the same.

If you wish to make the experience less competitive, you should definitely check our amazing Lecture mode. You can also explore another mode, which is the Accuracy mode, allowing you to celebrate the participant's accuracy, instead of the speed at which they pick the answer.
