Delete players from live game reports

  • I have students who have entered their name incorrectly (or inappropriately) or have connection issues and they end up creating a 'dead player' that doesn't answer any questions (when they log in with a different name) and completely screws up my reports. I would like to remove these non-players from the live game reports.

Witeal, for example, logged in three times, which created two 'dead players' in our game and in my report. This drags down the percentages for the entire class in the summery, and gives me headaches in trying to assess as I have to look at reports more closely.

This also gives me headaches when showing these reports to my co-teachers and my department head, as I have to spend time explaining to them that the class average is actually higher, because these 'non-players' are dragging down the class score.

It's a slightly different issue but may be able to be solved at the same time, in a live game if questions are not answered by any students because the teacher ended the Kahoot early, it should be smart enough to realize those questions should be removed from the scoring of the report. Yes, note that the questions weren't answered so that the teacher can remember to use those questions in the future and make sure the students know that material, if needed, but it shouldn't count against the score of the questions that were actually used (finished).

Above it shows that 32 students didn't finish (I only have 25 students in the class, BTW). Of course they didn't finish, I had to stop the Kahoot early due to an announcement. Stating that they didn't finish is ok, but having it bring down the entire score, if it does, is an issue as well.

  • I am having exactly the same problem outlined above.  10 out of the 11 that "need help" are duplicate names and the children have lost connection, pressed a button and left the game.
