Recently Deleted Kahoots

It would be super helpful if you added a recently deleted folder so people can retrieve accidentally deleted items and then the support staff wouldn’t be bothered. It would also be faster for those on a time crunch who really need their study guides.

    It just happened to me and there's nothing I can do but contact support, and this is extremely time consuming.

    Having a recently deleted folder would be tremendously useful for both sides.

  • Yes - very time consuming.  I need to do a presentation and I was hoping there was a “deleted” folder.  Even if it was only a 1 week hold before actually deleting, that would be excellent.  Asking for it to be restored seems like a LOT when I just deleted it.

  • Kahoot is rather popular but still responds so slowly… It is a no-brainer common, if not essential, user needs. When will you respond to this? Until the competition catches up, or surpasses you? So ‘we value customers’ feedback' is just a lip service?

    We're constantly working on improving our product thus we value greatly our users' feedback regarding Kahoot!. There's nothing more motivating for us than hearing your ideas.

  • A few things to know - 

    • They literally need the name of the Kahoot.  I didn't realize I had “selected all” so my delete included all of the Kahoots in that folder (not the brightest move.)
      • I figured they'd be able to see the deleted kahoots linked to the account, but I actually had to provide a name. Which was a bit difficult in a SELECT ALL situation (again, not the brighest move on my part.)  But I don't generally know the names of all of the contents in a folder.
      • I guess there is a central location where they deleted games go and there is no connection to the original account.
    • It took a few days.  I deleted it on the date of the presentation, I did not get it until 7 days later.
      • LUCKILY - I had created individual play Kahoots for people who miss the presentation (we repeat them frequently), so I was able to create a the Kahoot for that day.  
    • I didn't receive them all back. There was one that was not able to be restored.  At least one, I may have had a few that I didn't remember.

    A deleted folder would REALLY be useful. This such a common feature in most software/apps that have “deletable” things, I TRULY don't understand why it doesn't exists.  I really hope they addthat feature soon.

  • A trash folder for recently deleted items would be logical and amazing. Just deleted an entire folder on accident and now I'm hosed.

  • It just happened to me and I guess there's nothing I can do but start all over again. There should be the possibility to “rescue” deleted folders.  A shame.

    For anyone having the same issue, please note there’s a chance we can restore your kahoot/s. Please contact us with the following details:

    • Your username
    • The kahoot's/folder's title
    • When it was created (exact date if possible, approximate is fine)
    • When it was deleted or went missing (exact date if possible, approximate is fine).

  • Please, allow users to recover accidentally deleted folders/kahoots. I just deleted an entire folder and I am shocked that I cannot get it back!! Can you please help me recover my kahoots?
