How to find or restore a missing kahoot

Losing your hard work can be a big setback! Yet, there are a few things you can try.

Check your drafts

If you created a new kahoot and never used the Save button to save it, changes are saved automatically as a "draft". Drafted changes will not be playable until you use the Save button.

All drafts can quickly be found in the Drafts tab of the Kahoots list in your Library.

Contact us

If the kahoot was deleted or simply went missing, there’s a chance we can restore it. Please contact us with the following details:

  • Your username
  • The kahoot's title
  • When it was created (exact date if possible, approximate is fine)
  • When it was deleted or went missing (exact date if possible, approximate is fine)

  • This is very unhelpful and frustrating for the user. Don't offer a free version if it's impossible to actually use. There is no DONE button on my version - only EXIT and SAVE. If I opt to SAVE the draft remains in draft and cannot be moved from the library because it doesn't show in the drafts folder in the library. Madly annoying this. I wouldn't recommend kahoot to anyone!

  • All my kahoots are missing from one day to another i cant find anything but my profile says i have played 14 kahoots. i have no different workspaces or something. No drafts.. My classmate has the same problem and my teacher said he has never experienced that in his whole career!

  • Is there anyway to restore a deleted Kahoot? I deleted my folder by mistake. It's urgent. Any help is appreciated.

  • I've been paying this subscription for two years, and now all of the created games are gone!!!! This is frustrating. I need for someone to contact me as soon as possible. I've invested a lot of time and money creating all this for all to just be gone.

  • Waste an hour making a Kahoot only for it to not be able to save then delete the entire thing? Want to at least use session-storage so users don't lose all their progress making quizzes?

  • Hi @jordy_tok !

    The Kahoot you created is not deleted but saved as a draft. This means that the kahoot is still available in your account, but it is not yet published or visible to others. You can continue editing it and save your progress without losing any work.
