How to archive, delete, and restore reports
Is your Reports page cluttered with reports you no longer need? You can clean up your Kahoot! reports by moving reports to Trash (archiving), restoring archived reports, or permanently deleting them on the web platform. What moving a report to Trash and deleting it means
- Move to Trash removes a report from your main Reports and sends it to Trash, where you can restore or permanently delete it later.
- Restore moves a report from Trash back to your main Reports list.
- Delete permanently removes a report from Trash. Deleted reports cannot be restored.
You can open Trash from the top right of the Reports page. Trash shows your own reports and your organization space’s reports that were moved there.
How to move reports to Trash
Moving a report to Trash removes it from your main Reports list. If you want to permanently delete a report, you must first move it to Trash.
Move one report to Trash
- On the web platform, go to the Reports page.
- Find the report you want to remove and click the ⋮ (more options) icon next to it.
- Select Move to Trash.
The report is removed from your main Reports list and moved to Trash.
Move multiple reports to Trash
- On the web platform, go to the Reports page.
- Select the checkbox next to each report you want to move.
- At the top of the list, click Archive.
All selected reports are moved to Trash and removed from your main Reports list.
How to delete and restore reports
You can permanently delete or restore reports from Trash, at the top right of the Reports page.
- Restore moves a report back to your main Reports list.
- Delete permanently removes a report. Deleted reports cannot be restored.
Who can delete reports
Only the following users can permanently delete a report:
- The host of the kahoot the report belongs to
- The organization owner/admin (for org spaces)
If you do not see the option to delete, you may not have the required role.
Delete or restore one report
- From the Reports page, click Trash at the top right of the screen.
- Find a report in Trash and click the ⋮ (more options) icon.
- To permanently delete the report, choose Delete report from the options menu.
- To restore the report, click Restore or choose Restore report from the options menu.
Delete or restore multiple reports
- From the Reports page, click Trash at the top right of the screen.
- Select the checkbox next to each report you want to delete or restore.
- To permanently delete the selected reports, click Delete at the top of the reports list.
- To restore the selected reports, click Restore at the top of the reports list.

What is the difference between moving a report to Trash and deleting it?
Moving a report to Trash removes it from your main Reports list but keeps it in Trash, where you can restore or permanently delete it later.
Deleting a report removes it permanently from Trash, and it cannot be restored. -
Where can I find reports that were moved to Trash?
Reports moved to Trash are stored in the Trash section. Go to the Reports page on the web platform and click Trash at the top right to see these reports for you and your organization space (if applicable). -
