Certificates
These are printable documents with your name on them that certify completion of one of our courses. Their intended use is to assert to your administration that you qualify for having earned credit toward professional development.
Digital badges
These are linkable images that you can share on social media, add to your email signature, and display in a digital backpack or badge board that represents the completion of our courses.
Course eligibility
Who can take Kahoot! Certified courses?
Kahoot! Certified was designed for teachers seeking professional development (PD) credits to maintain their teaching certification. However, these courses are freely available to anyone. One note about this is that we do not market to students. While students can take our courses, they cannot receive certificates. Silver and Gold essential courses won’t be accessible without the ability to receive certificates.
How do I take a Kahoot! Certified course?
Go to kahoot.com/certified and start with the Bronze course. After completing the first course, you will receive access to the next course via email.

How do I receive a certificate?
To complete the kahoot and receive a certificate and a digital badge, you must:
- Login in to your Kahoot! account.
- Go to kahoot.com/certified and select Get certified now.
- Select Start course.
- Complete the Kahoot! course.
- You can download the certificate from the final page of the course.
- Check your email inbox for a certificate and a digital badge. A link to the next course will also be in the same email.
- Go to https://create.kahoot.it/learner and sign in with the same account that was used to take the course. From there you can see your results and download the certificate. Open the relevant course → click three vertical dots in the Course certificate section → Download.
The certification emails are considered marketing messages
Make sure that you allow Kahoot! to send you marketing messages. If you don't want to receive marketing emails from us but do want the certificates, you can toggle this on or off at any time and our system will be updated immediately. This must be enabled to get the certificate emails, but you can disable this after you've received them.
Missing emails with certificates and badges
- Check what email address is tied to your Kahoot! account and make sure it’s correct.
- Make sure that you allow Kahoot! to send you marketing messages.
- Check the spam folder for messages from kahoot@team.kahoot.com and noreply@getkahoot.com.
- You can see your results and download the certificate at https://create.kahoot.it/learner. Open the relevant course → click three vertical dots in the Course certificate section → Download.

Hello! I have retaken all certification courses numerous times and not once did I receive my diploma or digital badge. I have even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but nothing would help. I made sure I’m logged in, scored 80% on each of the courses and still nothing. Also, I agreed to receiving emails from Kahoot! in my settings. The only thing I could do was share my badges on Twitter. Can you still email me my diplomas if, as proof, I only have tweets? Kind regards!
I completed Step 1 of the Bronze Certification yesterday and waited until today to complete Step 2. I've answered the questions correctly, but the final step is yet to be unlocked. Is there another 24 hour waiting period?
I’m having a problem very similar! I got a pop screen that stayed I was bronze and that an email would be sent to me but I never received the email.

When taking the certification assignments, it's important that you do that with the app and that you are signed into your account with the mobile app. If you pass, get 80% correct, we will email you the certificate and next steps to the email registered on your account.
Please check which email is registered on your account, then the inbox or the spam filter, some have experienced that these emails might have ended up there.

I have not received the email containing the diploma, badge, and a link for the next course. I was logged into the app, and I have checked my spam folder. Is there a wait time between courses?
I got 10/10 on my bronze test but still am yet to received my certificate and badge - i have check my junk mail as well
Same issue.
