Enabling the multi-select feature

By default, Kahoot! quiz questions and poll questions only let participants choose one answer. For questions where more than one answer is valid, you can easily change this setting.

1. Create or edit a quiz or poll question in the Kahoot! creator.
2. Navigate to the answer options dropdown on the right side of the screen.
3. Choose "Multi-select".
   

How do participants submit multiple answers?

When multi-select is enabled, participants will be able to choose more than one answer on their devices. Unlike single-select questions, they will need to tap a "Submit" button to confirm their final selection before the timer runs out.

Troubleshooting: Why can't I save my kahoot?

If you are blocked from saving:

• Check if you accidentally marked more than one answer as correct on a quiz question.
• Switch the answer options dropdown back to "Single select".
• Once returned to single-select, you will be able to save your game.

1. How do points work with multi-select questions in Kahoot!? Participants can receive up to 1000 points per correct answer they select. 2. Can players get partial credit if they select some correct and some incorrect answers? No, partial credit is not available. If a participant chooses any incorrect answer along with their correct selections, they will receive 0 points for that entire question.
    
3. Why can't I save my kahoot after selecting multiple correct answers? Selecting multiple correct answers automatically changes the question to "Multi-select", which requires a premium subscription.
