How to create a Kahoot! open-ended question
- Start creating a kahoot.

Click the Add question button on the left-side panel and select the Open-ended option from the list.

Type your question at the top of the creator.
💡 Make sure the question encourages open-ended responses and stimulates creative thinking. For example:- What is your perspective on...?
- How did you feel when...?
- What would happen if...?
- How would you handle this situation differently?
- What are the implications of...?
- What are the pros and cons of...?
- What other factors should we consider?
- What are your thoughts on...?
- How would you approach this problem?

Select the time limit on the right-side panel. You can choose from 30 seconds to 4 minutes.

How to host a Kahoot! open-ended question
- Start hosting the kahoot with the open-ended question.
- The question will be presented on the host’s screen. Tip:

Each player types in response and chooses a word to highlight.

When the time is up, the host can choose to display the answers or skip this step and move on to the next question. The responses can be later reviewed in the report.

If you choose to show the answers during the game, you can click on individual answers to expand and discuss them.

Click on the icon in the top right corner of the answer card to hide it.
💡 Go to the game report after the game to review all the responses.
