Adding Kahoot! images
You can add images by uploading them from your device or find something in our image and GIF libraries.
You can 1 image, GIF, or video for each question.
Uploading Kahoot! images from your device
💡 When editing a question, drag an image stored on your computer into the media box to upload the image to your question.
💡 You can also use the + media button to find the upload image option in the bottom left corner of the window. Browse your computer for an image and open it.
Nearly any image on your computer can be uploaded. There are a few limitations:

Inserting from Kahoot! image and GIF libraries
The number of images that can be added to a kahoot from the image library depends on your plan level.
💡 When editing a question, click the + media button.
💡 Type what you're looking for in the search bar at the top of the window and press enter.
💡 On the left-side panel you can change the category to GIFs and search for fun animated images to add to your question. You can also change the image provider (Getty or Unsplash) and the type of GIFs (standard or stickers).
💡 Between the search bar and your search results you'll see several related tags. Click on them to filter results. Selected tags will move to the far left of the tag list. You can deselect them by clicking on them again.
Generate images with AI* (out soon!)
💡 When editing a question, click the + media button.
💡 On the left-side panel change the category to AI Generated.
💡 Describe the image you want to generate in the search bar at the top of the window and press enter.
☝️ This feature available only via web platform.
Adding cover image
💡 When editing a kahoot, click Settings at the top of the kahoot creator.
💡 Click Change in the Cover image section.
💡 Select one of the images used in your questions or click Add Image.
💡 If you choose the Add image option, you can find an image in our libraries or upload it from your device (click Upload image at the bottom of the window).
Adding images as a background*
💡 When editing a kahoot, Add the image and click Use as background button to use the picture as a background

Editing images
Image reveal effect
The availability of the image reveal effect depends on your plan level.
💡 The image reveal effect can be added to the following question types: type answer, slider, quiz, and true/false.
💡 After you add an image to your question, you will see the Image reveal section on the right-side panel.
💡 Choose between original (no effect), 3x3, 5x5, or 8x8. The speed of this effect will vary based on the question’s time limit.
Credit a resource and add alternative text
💡 Click the ⓘ info button in the bottom-right corner of the image box.
💡 In the Add alternative text field you can describe the media in 1-2 sentences. This helps visually and hearing-impaired users understand the media.
💡 In the Credit source field, you can input a web address or citation for the source of your image.
💡 You cannot edit the credit resources field when using an image from our image library, but you’ll be able to find out the photographer’s name and other related details.
Crop Kahoot! image
💡 Click the crop button next to the ⓘ info button.
💡 Zoom in with the slider at the bottom of the window.
💡 Drag the image to change the composition.
💡You can choose the shape of your media via the icons at the top of the window.
💡Click Save once you're done editing.
Remove Kahoot! image
💡Use the Bin button next to the crop button in the bottom right corner to remove an image.
