Visibility options
Before you learn how to make a kahoot public, private, or other learn below about the available visibility options.

Public: Your kahoot will appear in search results on the Discover page. Services like Facebook, Twitter, and Slack will preview your kahoot’s title, description, and cover image when you post a share link.

Private: Your kahoot will not appear in search results on the Discover page. You must be signed in to access the kahoot. To give others access, follow these steps to share with others.

Unlisted (included only in certain plans): Your kahoot will not appear in search results on the Discover page, but you can post a share link anywhere.
☝️ This option can be available in both a private and shared workspace.
☝️ The availability of the unlisted option depends on your plan type and level. We recommend the Publisher subscription if you need this functionality.

Organization (included only in certain plans): Your kahoot will be visible only to other members of your shared workspace. It will not appear in search results on the Discover page.
☝️ This option is available if the kahoot is saved under the shared workspace.
☝️ The availability of the organization visibility option depends on your plan type. We recommend the team plans to share content with other users from your company, school, or higher ed institution.
How to change visibility
Wondering how to make a kahoot public? There are two ways to change your kahoot's visibility.
How to make a kahoot public in Library tab
- Go to the Library of your account.
- Find the relevant kahoot.
- Click on the icon next to the username of the author.
- Choose one of the available visibilities.
☝️ Certain visibility options are available only in either shared or private workspaces. If you do not see the option you're looking for, try moving your kahoot to another workspace and changing the visibility there. Read more here.
How to make a kahoot public in kahoot creator
- Enter the kahoot creator by clicking the pencil icon next to the kahoot's title or Create → Kahoot in the top right corner of the platform.
- Click the Settings button at the top of the kahoot creator.
- Select the desired settings in the Visibility section.
- Click Done.
- Click the Save button in the top right corner.
