How to access solo modes
To play Kahoot! solo directly in your browser, follow these quick steps:
- Open kahoot you want to play solo. You can find it in your Library or on Discover page.
- Click Play solo option.
- Select one of our solo experiences.

How do I play Classic solo
The Classic solo mode provides a standard quiz experience against computer-generated participants:
- You will be taken to the Classic solo lobby in a Nano format. A compact game card appears with automatically generated participants (bots) above your nickname.
- Type your nickname or pick a suggested one.
- Click OK, go! to start playing.
Answer the questions one by one in the solo view. A scoreboard with virtual players is shown between questions, similar to a regular live game.
When the game ends, review your final score and use the on‑screen buttons to restart the game or discover more kahoots.
How do I play Chill Art solo
Chill Art allows you to complete digital masterpieces while you learn.
- Pick one of the first four paintings to start.
- Answer questions correctly to select paintbrushes

- You can go paint once paintbrushes are available by clicking Go paint in the top right corner of the screen.
- To paint, select a number at the bottom of the screen and match it on the canvas.
- The matched pieces unveil part of the masterpiece.
- You can go back to answering questions by clicking Go to quiz button in the top left corner of your screen.
- The game continues until the painting is finished or you click X to exit the game.
- Once you finish painting, click the Gallery button in the top left corner to select a new painting and practice the same game again.
How do I play Treasure Trove solo
Treasure Trove challenges you to answer correctly while avoiding traps.
- Answer the required number of questions correctly. You can see your progress in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Once you've collected the required number of correct answers, it's time to catch the treasure. Click on the flying treasures to collect them and gain points.
- After collecting the treasure, you go to the next round to answer more questions. The difficult questions that were answered incorrectly will appear to help you learn.
How do I play Tallest Tower solo
Tallest Tower lets you stack blocks to build a structure by answering questions.
- Answer the required number of questions correctly. You can see your progress in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Click or tap on the screen to drop a block and build your tower.
- Complete a full floor (placing all blocks in a row) to gain points.
- After building the tower, you go to the next round to answer more questions. The difficult questions that were answered incorrectly will appear to help you learn.
How to switch between solo and self-study modes

- While playing any solo mode, locate the game experience switcher dropdown menu at the top of your screen.
- Click the dropdown to view short descriptions of all available solo experiences.
- Select a new experience to instantly switch your gameplay experience in just two clicks.
How to customize your practice session
While playing any Kahoot! solo or self-study mode, you can easily adjust your experience by accessing the Settings menu.
To open the settings, click the gear icon (⚙️) located in the top right corner of your screen during a session.
