Kahoot! Slide sync: How to import slides from Google Slides

Learn how to seamlessly sync your Google Slides presentations with Kahoot! to create interactive and up-to-date presentations. This new integration saves time and keeps your slides and kahoots in sync, eliminating the need for re-uploads.

How to import slides from Google Slides

1. Log in to your account.
2. Click the Create button on the right side of the top navigation bar.
3. Select the Kahoot option from the drop-down menu to make a kahoot.
   
   
   
4. Select the Import slides option on the pop-up window to import sync slides.
   
   
   
5. Choose Import from Google Slide option.
   
6. Alternatively, while editing a kahoot, click on the Add slides button and select the Import slides option on the pop-up window to import slides from Google Slides.
   
   

   ☝️ Please note, that if you select Upload file option, you will be prompted to import slides from a PowerPoint (.pptx or .ppt), KeyNote (.key), or Adobe PDF (.pdf) file. These slides won't be synced.

   
   
7. Log in to your Google account. 
   
8. Once you log in to your Google account, select the presentation you would like to upload.
   
   

   NOTE: ☝️ You can upload one presentation per kahoot. ☝️ A single kahoot can’t exceed 100 questions (each slide counts as a question). ☝️ If you don't have access to the presentation, it won't be uploaded.

   
   

9. Once your slides are imported, you have the option to either add all slides to your Kahoot! or select specific slides for inclusion.
   
   ☝️ You can edit your kahoot while your presentation is importing.
   
   

10. To make changes to your presentation, simply click the "Edit" button located at the bottom of the screen, which will allow you to modify the content directly in Google Slides.
    
    
    ☝️ Changes done in the kahoot creator will not be reflected in the original Google Slides document.
    
    

11. Whenever you update your Google Slides presentation, you can effortlessly sync those changes by clicking the "Update" button in the relevant slide. This will ensure that your imported presentation in Kahoot! remains current with the latest version of your slides.
    
    ☝️ When you add new slides to your original Google Slides document, they will appear in the "Add Slide" dialog in kahoot after you click "Update all slides". 
    
    
    ☝️ You have to include at least one quiz question in order to save the kahoot.
    
    

12. You can continue to edit your kahoot (you can edit the questions, add media to them, and create more questions).

13. Save your game.
