Verified creators are people who make great kahoots that students and educators around the world can easily find and use.

Unlike an ordinary user of Kahoot!, Verified creators can display their kahoots publicly on a proper profile page. A verified profile also allows you to broadcast social media profiles, websites, and updates to a global community.

A verified profile lets you connect with other like-minded individuals around the world and share your awesome learning content with millions!

You will then be part of the Kahoot! Community and will be invited to not only attend but also present at events and participate in Kahoot! activities.

Who is eligible to become a Kahoot! verified creator?

The types of users who can apply are: Teachers, Social and Students on free plans, and Business users on paid plans. Young students cannot apply. 

You must have at least 5 kahoots in your library and over 300 players.

How to apply to become a Kahoot! verified creator

  1. Start your application. Log in to your Kahoot! account, click the profile icon in the top navigation bar, and select Become verified from the dropdown menu to begin building your creator page.
  2. Personalize your profile. Fill in the mandatory details to let the global community know who you are and what you do:
    • Profile picture: Upload a clear photo of yourself. To comply with safety and copyright rules, images of children, animals, brand logos, and copyrighted characters will not be accepted.
    • Banner image: Add a high-quality background image to illustrate the theme of your content. The recommended dimensions are 1280 x 256 pixels.
    • Title and description: Write a catchy page title and a short introduction detailing your expertise and what kind of learning content you create.
  3. Showcase your top content. Select at least 3 high-quality public kahoots to feature in your "Top kahoots" section.
  4. Submit for review. Once you are happy with how your page looks, click Submit application and accept the terms and conditions.
  5. Wait for confirmation. The Kahoot! moderation team reviews each application carefully to ensure quality and copyright compliance. You can expect to receive an email with their decision within 5 business days. Upon approval, your profile will go live, and your username will proudly display the official blue checkmark!

Troubleshooting: My application was rejected

The common reasons for a rejection are as follows:

  • Copyrights: since your kahoots will be displayed more prominently, it is important that they are not using IP from other companies. We partner with businesses such as Disney and it is important not to use copyrighted images in kahoots.
  • Profile picture: we need to see it is a real person creating kahoots! We do not accept pictures of logos, children, animals or characters.
  • Pictures of children: the Kahoot! platform does not allow for any images of children. If you have uploaded photos from your classroom or of your own children we will reject the profile. However, stock images which are publicly sourced from places like Getty are fine.
  • The type of content: if the content is not of educational value or offensive in any way it will not be accepted.

  1. How much does the Kahoot! Verified creator program cost? Membership and collaboration within the Verified creator program is completely free. It does not require any fee for application or participation.
     
  2. How long does it take to review a Kahoot! Verified creator application? We review and hand-select applications on a rolling basis. You can expect feedback on your application within five business days.
     
  3. I have now been accepted. How do I add more kahoots to my profile? In addition to the four featured kahoots at the top of your profile, you can now add more kahoots by grouping them into a collection. By clicking ‘Add content’, then ‘Add course’ you can then group your kahoots by subject area or age, then add them to your profile.
     
  4. I have a question about my application. Who should I contact? For any questions, concerns, or insights, get in touch with us at communityteam@kahoot.com. Please provide the username and email address you used to apply.
     
  5. Can I sell my content on the marketplace now that I am verified? Whilst you need to be a verified creator in order to sell, it also requires you to be on a paid subscription plan.
