How to generate a kahoot with AI

With this feature, you can easily create a kahoot by selecting a topic, uploading a PDF, adding the URL to the Kahoot AI tool using the latest OpenAI model, GPT-4.

Shortcuts:

1. Open the kahoot creator.
2. Type in the topic of your kahoots and click Generate to use AI-powered features. Keep it short and simple, for example, “Dog breeds” or “Space”.
   💡 With Perplexity integration, Kahoot! can now generate content from real-time events. Just type a current topic (e.g., “latest NASA mission”) and let the AI instantly create accurate, up-to-date questions for your kahoot.
   💡 The character limit is 60.
3. Edit or change the topic in the top search bar and click Refresh to generate new questions.
   
   ☝️ Please note, that this view is only available if you start generating a kahoot from the initial pop-up window in the kahoot creator.
   
   

   💡 This AI tool supports different formats:

   • ‘Quiz’ for predominantly points-based questions
     
   • ‘Presentation’ for more slides and informative content designed for presentations.
     
   • 'Micro Lesson' for short, interactive lessons that mix slides with questions to help you study and reinforce new material.

   • ‘Test prep’ for timed, exam-style questions designed to help you practice and prepare for tests.

   💡 Skill Level option allows you to specify the difficulty level of the questions created.

   💡 Tone of voice option allows you to specify the tone expected.

   💡 Kahoot length option allows you to choose how many slides should be created.

   
   
4. Review the questions and click the "Add all" button to insert all questions into your kahoot, or select specific questions you want to add.
   
   
   
5. Click anywhere outside of the Kahoot! AI tool to access the kahoot creator. Here you can continue to edit your kahoot (you can edit the generated questions, add media to them, and create more questions).
6. Save your game.

Generate kahoot based on a PDF file

1. Open the kahoot creator.
2. Click PDF to Kahoot to use AI-powered features.
   
   
3. Select the file from your device and upload it. The question generator will use the information included in the file to create questions and answers.

   💡 Kahoot generator can process PDF files with around 154 pages.

   
4. Click Continue and wait a moment. You’ll see a loading bar indicating the progress.
5. You can edit your kahoot following the steps from Generate kahoot based on a topic guide.

Extract questions from the PDF

If you want to extract questions from a PDF, make sure that the "Extract questions from the PDF" toggle is ON when uploading the file.

☝️ Enabling this option means that the tool will extract existing questions from the document rather than generating new ones. If the toggle is OFF, the AI will create new questions based on the content instead.
☝️ This feature supports only Quiz question type.

☝️ Remember to review questions generated and correct the answers if needed.

1. Open the kahoot creator.
2. Click Kahoot Generator to use AI-powered features.
3. Enter URL to site to generate a kahoot.

Generate kahoot based on Wikipedia article

1. Open the kahoot creator.
2. Click Kahoot Generator to use AI-powered features.
3. Enter the topic for Wikipedia article.

4. Click Continue and wait a moment. You’ll see a loading bar indicating the progress.
