Kahoot!: see questions on player's screen: display questions and answers on players’ devices in live kahoots. The players don't need to see the host’s screen anymore to engage in the game experience. Try today!
Kahoot!: See questions on player's screen can be particularly useful when:
💡 Hosting remotely (on Zoom, MS Teams, or other conference/streaming tools), and the players only have one device;
💡 Your classroom or auditorium is too large so players in the back of the room can’t see the shared screen well enough;
💡 Hosting on a small screen;
💡 Making the live experience more accessible for players with visual impairments;
💡 Hosting where even a large screen may appear small to some from a distance.
How to enable Kahoot!: See questions on player's screen
You can turn Kahoot!: See questions on player's screen on through the game settings before starting a live game and in-between questions during the game. This option is available for free for all Kahoot! users 🎉
- Launch a Live game.
- Click the gearwheel icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Enable the Show questions & answers option.
- Select the game mode.
- You are all set now! 🎉 Players will now see questions and answers on their device screens, in addition to the screen you’re sharing as a host.
FAQ
❓ Will the scoreboard between questions and the podium be shown on players' devices when Kahoot!: See questions on player's screen is enabled?
No, the host’s screen will be the only one displaying these.
❓ How does Kahoot!: See questions on player's screen impact the bandwidth requirement for hosting a game?
You can see our typical bandwidth recommendations here. When enabled, you need to consider if your players are joining remotely or in person. If they are joining via the same local network you’re using, then bandwidth per player increases dramatically in order to queue up images and videos on all devices at the same time. We don’t have an analysis on how much it increases yet, though we’ll update bandwidth requirements once we do. If joining remotely, then your own bandwidth requirement should remain about the same. Instead, each player’s network will bear the brunt of any extra load. Again, we don’t yet have an analysis of what that load is but will update bandwidth requirements once we do
❓ Why are some players taking longer to display questions?
The single-screen game mode requires player devices to load a lot more information than when this is disabled. Due to differences in device processing speeds, questions are more likely to not load simultaneously across all devices.
❓ Why are some players’ devices not playing videos when the "Kahoot!: See questions on player's screen" is enabled?
Videos are hosted at https://youtube.com or https://vimeo.com/. If players are on a network that blocks access to YouTube/Vimeo or if their device has security software that blocks YouTube or Vimeo, then videos will not load. An admin for the player’s network and/or devices may be able to unblock YouTube or Vimeo.

brilliant! can we set this as default so we don't have to change it each game?
Hi,
I`m going to renew payment, but can´t access the discount. Why?
How to upgrade
Hi @DavidStuartThompson! Thank you for your feedback. The settings you configure before hosting a kahoot are saved for future games. Once you enable them, you won't need to remember to set them again later.
