How to share a kahoot: link
Here's how to share a kahoot via link and give quick access to the kahoot’s details page.
☝️ If the kahoot is public, then no sign-in is required to view the details page. Services like Facebook, Twitter, and Slack will preview your kahoot’s title, description, and cover image when you post this link.
☝️ If the kahoot is private, you cannot share it via link.
☝️ If the kahoot is visible to your team only (organization), you can copy the link only from the browser. If someone else wants to access the game, sign-in will be required. Everyone except you and your team members will be denied access.
- Open kahoot's details page.
- Click the three vertical dots below the title.
- Click Share kahoot.
- Click Copy at the bottom of the window.
- Send the link anywhere you'd like to share the game.
How to share a kahoot: Share with others
Here's how to share a kahoot with others and make it visible on the Shared with you tab of their Kahoots page.
☝️ The shared kahoots can be public or private
☝️ Shared kahoots cannot be removed.
☝️ If there's no Kahoot! account tied to the email you want to share the kahoot with, the message won't be sent to the recipient.
- Open kahoot’s options menu [ ⋮ ] and choose Share.
- In the search box, type the username, email, or group name you want to share with.
- A list of matching people and groups will appear under the search box.
- Click Share next to the people and groups to share your kahoot.
☝️ It’s not possible to unshare kahoots.
How to share a kahoot: Social media, email, and collaboration platforms
You can quickly share a kahoot on Twitter, Facebook, or Pinterest with a preview populated with the kahoot’s cover image, title, and description. You can also share via email, Google Classroom, Remind, or Microsoft Teams.
- Open kahoot's details page.
- Click the three vertical dots below the title.
- Click Share kahoot.
- Click on one of the icons at the top of the window to share the game.

I need to be able to share Kahoot without a QR code. We do not use google classroom.
My students created Kahoots and are supposed to share them with me and they do not get the option. Your information is only useful for teachers' accounts.

To have young students share their content with you, download our Import questions spreadsheet template and send it to your students. They can fill in the template with their questions and send the file back to you. Then, you can create a new kahoot on your account with your students' questions.
