Enhanced Member management

Managing large teams and directories is now faster and more intuitive with our overhauled Manage Members interface. We’ve redesigned key elements to improve how admins interact with their organization data:

• Refreshed Manage Member dialog: A modern, streamlined experience for adjusting member settings and permissions.
• Side filters: Conveniently positioned side panels provide quick and granular filtering options, making it effortless to narrow down and sort members.
• Pinned action column: Keeps essential action buttons visible at all times, no matter how far horizontally or vertically you scroll across wide tables.
• Available to: All organizations with access to the Manage Members tab.

Help Center in the creator

Get instant answers right where you create! A new Help Center icon is now integrated directly inside the Kahoot! creator, allowing creators to access relevant support documentation without interrupting their workflow.

The Help Center is context-aware and automatically surfaces suggested articles tailored to whichever sidebar or panel is currently active (Themes, Question properties, or Kahoot! Assistant).

Content creation access controls

Organization owners and admins can now specify whether limited members are permitted to create new content (kahoots, courses, and stories) and/or groups. This feature gives organizations greater control over workspace hygiene and helps maintain high content standards and brand consistency by ensuring only authorized roles initiate new projects.

Two independent toggles are available under Settings → Team → Roles and permissions, allowing admins to restrict content creation, group creation, or both with immediate enforcement across the organization. Available to: Kahoot! 360 Enterprise Pro, Enterprise Premium, and Enterprise Ultra plans.

Preconstructed Teams for Missions

Hosts can now set up teams for Kahoot! Missions in advance and continue managing rosters anytime. By turning on Assign teams manually during the "Create teams" step, you can assign participants straight into specific teams (e.g., Team Alfa, Bravo, Charlie, or custom groups) by name, group, or email before anyone has joined.

Participants automatically land in their assigned team the moment they launch the mission – no self-picking, shuffling, or empty teams. Rosters remain fully editable afterward from Manage teams within the mission report.

Disable AI features for individual accounts

Individual users now have full control to turn off AI features directly in their personal account settings. While organizations have previously been able to manage AI settings at the workspace level, individual members can now choose whether they want AI-powered assistance (such as automatic title and description completion) enabled for their own account.

Note: If an organization has disabled AI features at the workspace level, individual members cannot turn them back on.

Navigate your account effortlessly with a modernized admin hub and a unified left-side panel that cleanly separates Team and Personal settings.

Aligned with the sleek look and feel of Reports and Library, this structural upgrade simplifies navigation, declutters your workspace, and brings critical organizational controls within quick reach to reduce cognitive load and mistakes.

Setting for orgs on EDU/Enterprise plans to hide paid content

To give organizations more control over what their members are exposed to, we've added a new option in Team Settings that hides paid content (AccessPass and Marketplace) — as well as links to paid content — across all platform surfaces, including Navigation, Discover, Profiles, Channels, Search, and Library. This setting is now available for organizations on Enterprise and EDU plans.

AI automatically completes kahoot metadata

Up until recently, we only autocompleted the kahoot title and description if the kahoot was generated by AI. Today, we've expanded this autocompletion feature to all kahoots.

When you open the kahoot settings dialog, our AI will now automatically try to fill in the blanks for your title, description, and cover image, provided the kahoot has at least 3 slides. It will even detect whether the content of your kahoot is in a language that is different than the default English.

EDU users can now select curriculum standards (currently limited to US standards) in the Kahoot! AI generator to automatically align questions and tag the resulting kahoot. Additionally, you can now generate kahoots in 70 different languages!

New hosting experience: Confidence experience (New on December 22, 2025)

Confidence  experience is a new hosting experience in Kahoot! that celebrates progress over perfection and helps everyone feel safe to take risks and grow. Learners can focus on building confidence and understanding instead of worrying only about how fast they answer. This experience is especially useful when you want to reduce pressure, encourage participation, and support learners who may need more time to respond.

Feature update: Copy-paste images to upload (New on November 27, 2025)

The paste images to upload feature lets you add images to your kahoots faster by pasting them directly from your clipboard into the image upload box. This is perfect for screenshots and web images, because you no longer need to save files before you upload them.

Just copy an image (for example, a screenshot) and paste it into the image field in the kahoot creator. Kahoot! will handle the upload from your clipboard.

Feature update: Added 15‑second time limit option (New on November 25, 2025)

You can now choose a 15‑second time limit for your questions in the kahoot creator. This new option adds more flexibility between the existing 10‑second and 20‑second timers and comes from a highly requested user need for an ideal time limit per question in that range.

Use the 15‑second timer when you want to:

• Give learners a bit more time than 10 seconds to read and think
• Keep the pace faster than 20 seconds for shorter questions

You can select this option in the Time limit settings for each question in the creator.

Feature update: Edit all time limits with one click (New on November 15, 2025)

A common user request has been the ability to change the duration of every question in a kahoot at once. With this feature, you can now apply the same “Time limit” setting to all questions in the creator with a single action.

This makes it much quicker to:

• Shorten or lengthen every question in a kahoot
• Standardize time limits across a game

Look for the option in the time limit settings in the kahoot creator to “Apply to all questions” (exact wording may vary).

Feature update: New accessibility option in Accuracy experience (New on November 5, 2025)

To make Kahoot! even more inclusive, Accuracy expererience now includes an accessibility option that lets you turn off the timer altogether. Hosts can enable unlimited answer time so participants can respond at their own pace, without any time pressure.

This is especially helpful for:

• Learners who need more time to read, process, and respond
• Sessions where accuracy is more important than speed
• Inclusive classrooms or training sessions with diverse needs

When hosting in Accuracy experience, look for the option to disable the timer and allow unlimited answer time.

Feature update: Improved creator preview (New on October 29, 2025)

The creator preview has been improved so you can now see the host and participant screens side by side while you build your kahoot. This makes it easier to check layouts, media, and advanced question types before you go live.

With the improved preview, you can:

• See exactly what hosts will see during a live game
• See what players will see on their own devices
• Test how questions, answer options, and media appear and behave

To try it out, open any kahoot in the creator and click Preview at the top.

New hosting experience: Accuracy experience (New on August 1, 2025)

Accuracy experiences is a new hosting experience that flips the focus from speed to understanding. In this experience, points are based only on correct answers, not on how fast participants respond. This creates a more relaxed, inclusive, and learning‑focused experience.

Accuracy experience is ideal when you want to:

• Prioritize comprehension and correctness over reaction time
• Reduce stress and time pressure for participants
• Support deeper learning and discussion after each question

When starting a kahoot, choose Accuracy experiences from the available hosting options to try this new way to play.
