In the U.S. and non-EEA countries
For customers based in the USA or who are located outside the EU / EEA, we may be required to add tax/VAT on the charge based on your specific state or country.
If you are tax-exempt, please reach out to us here before you finalize your payment. If we are able to verify your tax-exempt status, and if there is a way for us to register it appropriately in our system, we can help you out.
In the EU
For customers based in the EU, the EEA regulation requires us to collect Value-added tax (VAT) if a VAT number is not provided along with the authorization for a charge. VAT will be based on your physical location or the location of your payment provider. Unless required by your country, VAT will not be calculated or displayed prior to processing a charge. Kahoot! will not issue refunds or credits on VAT charged while a proper VAT number is missing. We follow official guidelines to reverse charge VAT.

For personal use
If you use Kahoot in a personal setting, the pricing/feature pages showing you different subscription options will include the VAT (tax), and the local VAT will be visible in the summary prior to purchase on the payment page.
For work
The pricing for businesses excludes VAT. To make sure you are not charged VAT directly on top of the prices shown, it’s absolutely necessary that the correct VAT number for your company is provided to us (for EU / EEA customers). If you are experiencing errors adding or updating your VAT number, please find more information, and double-check the validity of your VAT number here.
On your billing page, the license prices may exclude VAT, and just show the plan cost excluding VAT. However, the VAT charged will be listed on your invoice. To find out more about how you can view and download your invoices, please use this guide:
