What is the Your learning tab?
The Your learning tab is the learner dashboard in Kahoot!, a single learning dashboard that shows all the content assigned to you (courses, kahoots, challenges, missions, stories and Math Games) together with your Learn and Flashcards practice. Items are sorted into three tabs, In progress, Completed and Expired, so you always know what's due and what you've finished.
Who can use Your learning
The Your learning tab is available to learners in both personal and organization workspaces. It's useful for:
- Workplace learners: find your assigned compliance courses, onboarding paths, missions and professional development content.
- Students: keep track of homework assignments, flashcards and self-paced review games.
- Independent learners: pick up your self-study sessions and practice games.
Assignments from your organization show up in that organization's workspace. When you switch between your personal and organization workspaces, Your learning updates to show the content for the workspace you're in. Your learning isn't available on child profiles.
How to open Your learning
You can open Your learning from a web browser or from the Kahoot! app.
On the web
- Log in to your Kahoot! account at kahoot.com.
- If you belong to more than one workspace, choose the right one from the workspace menu at the top of the left-hand menu.
- Click Your learning in the left-hand menu.
In the Kahoot! app
- Open the Kahoot! app and sign in.
- On the Home tab, find your active items in the Active section.
- Tap See all, or go to Library → Your learning, to see everything that's in progress, completed or expired.
What you'll find in Your learning
Your learning shows content that's been assigned to you, plus your own practice in study modes.
| Content type | What it is |
|---|---|
| Assigned courses | Learning paths with kahoots, stories, documents and videos, assigned by your organization, teacher or team |
| Assigned kahoots | Self-paced kahoots you play on your own, often with a deadline. Assignments you created yourself only appear if you're also taking part in them |
| Kahoot! Missions | Team-based learning journeys you complete together |
| Stories | Interactive microlearning and multimedia presentations |
| Learn and Flashcards | Your single-player practice in these study modes |
| Math Games | Math Game assignments, shown only on accounts where Math Games are available |
Live games don't appear in Your learning, whether you hosted them or joined as a player. You'll find them in Reports in the left-hand menu.
In progress, Completed and Expired
Your learning sorts your content into three tabs by status, so it's easy to see what's due soon and what you've already finished. Each tab shows how many items it holds, for example In progress (4).
In progress
The In progress tab shows assignments you haven't finished yet whose deadline hasn't passed, including ones that haven't started. It also shows Learn and Flashcards sessions you've started but not finished.
- Size and progress: each card shows how big the item is (for example, 5 activities, 10 questions or 4 min read) and how far you've come.
- Time left: each card shows how long you have until the deadline (for example, 3 days). If an assignment hasn't started yet, you'll see its start date instead. Items without a deadline show no label.
Kahoots, Learn, Flashcards and Math Games open in a new browser tab. If nothing happens when you select a card, allow pop-ups for the site in your browser.
Completed
The Completed tab shows everything you've finished.
- A kahoot is completed once you've answered every question, whatever your score.
- A course is completed once you've finished all its activities.
- Certificates: only courses can offer a certificate. If you earned one, the course card shows View your certificate. If the course needs a minimum score you didn't reach, you'll see You did not score enough to earn the course certification.
- Reviewing your work: select a completed kahoot, course or mission to see your results. Kahoots can't be replayed from here, but you can reopen stories and practice Learn and Flashcards again.
Stories move to Completed only after you select Mark as read at the end. If the person who assigned the story made checklists or polls required, the button stays greyed out until you've finished them.
Expired
The Expired tab shows assigned items whose deadline passed before you finished them.
- You can't play expired assignments for a score unless the host extends the deadline or creates a new assignment.
- If the host extends the deadline, the unfinished item moves back to In progress.
- If you open a mission after it has ended, you'll see This mission has finished, with options to Browse content or Go to Your learning.
Search and sort
Use the search box above the cards to find an item by its title. Search only looks in the tab you have open, so switch tabs if you can't find something.
Use Sort by to change the order: Name A-Z, Name Z-A, Deadline or Last assigned (newest first, the default). Cards load 12 at a time. Select View more at the bottom to see the rest.
How to continue learning on any device
Your progress is saved to your Kahoot! account, so you can start on one device and carry on with another.
Pick up where you left off
- Open Your learning (or the Active section on the Home screen in the app).
- Find the item in the In progress tab.
- Click or tap the card to continue.
Where you land depends on the content type:
- Assigned kahoots continue at the next unanswered question.
- Learn and Flashcards keep the cards you've already marked as known.
- Courses and missions open on their overview page, with finished activities marked.
- Math Games start from the beginning.
Switch between web and mobile
- Started something in your browser? You can continue it in the Kahoot! app.
- Made progress on your phone? It's saved to your account. Refresh Your learning in your browser to see the latest progress.
When a kahoot has been updated
If a kahoot is edited after you started practicing it in Learn or Flashcards, you'll see There is a new version of this kahoot. Choose Continue with current version or Restart game.
Assigned kahoots always keep the version that was assigned to you, so later edits won't change an assignment you're already working on.
