How to delete my account
You can delete your Kahoot! account at any time from your account settings. This article explains how to delete your account, what happens to your data, how long you can recover a deleted account, and what to do if you have a subscription.

Before you delete your account
- Cancel any active subscription first. If you have a subscription, please cancel it from your billing page before deleting your account.
- Your kahoots, stories, and courses will be deleted.
- Public content by verified creators will remain on the platform. If you want to delete it, you have to do it manually.
- Permanent deletion. After the deletion process is fully completed (see section What happens after you request deletion), your account and data cannot be restored. Your email address may become available to use with a new Kahoot! account.
How to delete your Kahoot! account
- While signed in, click your avatar in the top-right corner of the platform.
- Select Profile settings from the menu.
- Scroll down and click Delete account.
- Choose a reason for deleting your account and select Delete your account to confirm.
- Once confirmed, your account is scheduled for deletion.
What happens after you request deletion
When you delete your account:
- Your account is scheduled for deletion. You will no longer be able to sign in to Kahoot! with that account in the usual way.
- For approximately 20 calendar days, your account is in a pending deletion state. During this time:
‣ You can recover your account (see section How to recover a recently deleted account)
‣ If you recover it, your account becomes active again. - After about 20 calendar days, your account and associated data are permanently deleted and cannot be restored.
- Once permanent deletion is completed, your email address becomes available to use with a new Kahoot! account.
How to recover a recently deleted account (within ~20 days)
If you deleted your account but changed your mind, you can recover it within about 20 calendar days of the deletion request.
- Go to the Kahoot! login page.
- Click Having trouble logging in?.
- Open the Recover account tab.
If recovery is successful, your account will be restored. After the ~20-day window has passed, your account can no longer be recovered and you will need to create a new one with an available email address.

I cannot sign in and its VERY frustrating, 3 days now I've been trying.
cant sign in using former school's email address but I have an account
I try to click the sign in/log in button, but it keeps bringing me to a page that says that my Kahoot! Pro! free trial expired, and I hadn't even requested a free Kahoot! Pro! trial. And now, it will not let me do anything on Kahoot. I can't browse even the public Kahoots for some reason.

Hi! How long does it take for an account to be completely deleted in the system? We are wanting to use that email to swap another user account and not have it be it's own account. Since you can't use the same email in two accounts I'm just trying to figure out how long it takes to have that account fully deleted.

Pague una versión Bronze y nunca se vio reflejado. Despues con la “orientación” que brindan, modifique mi perfil para saber si se reflejaba mi suscripción en otro apartado y ahora esta bloquedado y no me permite configurar mi perfil.
