Kahoot! mobile app: How to create, duplicate or organize kahoots
This guide explains how to create, edit, duplicate and organize kahoots in the Kahoot! mobile app.

Create a kahoot in the Kahoot! mobile app
You can create your own kahoot directly in the mobile app when your are logged in.
To create a kahoot from scratch:
- Tap Create on the bottom navigation bar.
- The creator will open, allowing you to either generate a kahoot with AI, or start from scratch.
- Select Blank canvas option. From here you can:
• add questions
• choose question types
• edit time limits
• insert images from your device

Edit ot duplicate an existing kahoot in mobile app
To update or make a copy of a kahoot in the app:
- Go to Library → Kahoots → Your kahoots.
- Tap the kahoot you want to work on.
- Tap the pencil icon to edit it.
- Tap the options menu [ ⋮ ] and choose Duplicate to create a copy.
How to organize kahoots into folders (subscription required)
If your subscription includes folders, you can organize kahoots for easier management.
To access and manage folders in the mobile app:
- Tap Library in the lower navigation bar.
- Tap Kahoots.
- Tap Your kahoots.
- At the top of the Your kahoots section, you'll see folders from your workspace.

Tap a folder to view its contents or tap + to create a new folder.

Can I create a kahoot on my phone?
Yes. You can create kahoots directly in the mobile app using the Create button at the bottom of the screen.

Can I create a kahoot on mobile if I don’t have a subscription?
Yes — creating, editing, and duplicating kahoots is available to all users. Some advanced features, like folders or premium question types, require a subscription.

Can I create a kahoot without an account in the mobile app?
Yes, however, your kahoot will be saved as a draft. To be able to host it you'll ned to log in or sign up.

How do I duplicate a kahoot in the mobile app?
Open the kahoot → tap the ⋮ menu → select Duplicate. The copied version will appear in Your kahoots.

How do I organize kahoots into folders?
If your subscription supports folders, go to Library → Kahoots → Your kahoots, then tap + to create a new folder or open an existing one to move kahoots into it.

Can I edit all types of kahoots on mobile?
Most kahoots you own or have permission to edit can be updated in the app. Some content types or shared kahoots may have restrictions depending on your workspace settings.

All kahoots you own or copied appear under Library → Kahoots → Your kahoots.
