How do I log in to my Kahoot! account on the web?

To securely access your account and dashboard:

  1. Go directly to the Kahoot! login page.
  2. Enter your email address and password, or choose to continue with Google, Microsoft, Apple, or Clever.
  3. If prompted, enter the verification code sent to your email address.
  4. Once authenticated, you will automatically land on your Kahoot! dashboard.

How to Log In with Single Sign-On (SSO)

Using Single Sign-On (SSO) is the fastest way to access your Kahoot! account without remembering another password. Depending on your account type, you can use a social provider or your organization's enterprise credentials.

Using Social SSO (Google, Microsoft, Apple, or Clever)

If you have a personal or school account with one of our supported social providers, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Kahoot! login page.
  2. Select your provider: Continue with Google, Microsoft, Apple, or Clever.
  3. Follow the prompts from the provider to authenticate your account.

Linking an Existing Account

If you already have a Kahoot! account created with an email and password, but now want to use SSO:

  • The system will ask if you want to link your account the first time you use the social button.
  • Enter your standard Kahoot! password and click Log in.
  • Your accounts are now linked. Moving forward, you can log in directly using that SSO button.

Using Enterprise SSO

If your school or company has a dedicated Kahoot! Enterprise subscription:

  1. Click Continue with Single Sign-on on the login page (do not click the individual social buttons).
  2. Enter your work/school email address or the specific workspace SSO URL (magic link) provided by your administrator.
  3. You will be redirected to your organization's custom login portal to complete the sign-in.

What if I forgot my password?

If you cannot remember your password or username, click the Reset your password option located on the login page.

Why does Kahoot! keep asking me to log in? (Sign-in Loops)

If you are being prompted to sign in immediately after already logging in, you are likely trying to access a page or game that your account does not have permission to view. For example, if you click a link to someone's private game and they haven't shared the kahoot with you, the system will prompt you to sign in continuously because you lack authorization.

Why can't I find my kahoots after logging in?

If your library looks empty, ensure you are logged into the exact same account you used to create the games. Additionally, check the libraries of all the available workspaces using the left-hand navigation panel, as your games might be saved in a Team folder rather than your personal library.   1. Why am I asked to verify my email or device when logging in? This security measure triggers when your Kahoot! account is accessed from multiple devices. Kahoot! accounts are intended for individual use, so sharing logins can cause these prompts. If you are the account owner, verify your email. If you need to share access with colleagues, ask your subscription owner to add more licenses and assign you a license under a team plan.
     
  2. How do young students log in to Kahoot!? Young Students cannot log in using their email addresses for privacy reasons. They must log in using their generated usernames and passwords, or via the SSO provider they used during account creation.

  4. How can I change my username? You can update your username once a year. This can be done directly from update your account settings page.

  • Hi there! If you're being prompted to sign in just after signing in, this suggests you might be trying to access a page that your account doesn't have access to. For example, if you click a link to someone's private kahoot and they've not shared the actual kahoot with you, you would be prompted to sign in over and over because your account doesn't have authorization to access that kahoot.

  • Hi @mandrade137, To find your kahoots always make sure you are logged in to the same account as when you were creating the game, and check the libraries of all the available workspaces. Also check the Your drafts and Team folder in the Kahoots section.

    I also recommend checking in the Libary if your kahoot's aren't marked with the red Unsaved changes label. If they are, you can just click the pencil icon; the game's most recent version should show up in the kahoot creator.

    Here's a helpful on Kahoot! folders so you can sort and arrange your kahoots, too.

  • @bathma_spiderman You can change your username yourself once a year. If it's your first time changing your username, you should be able to do so directly from your account settings page. However, if the Change username button is greyed out you can contact our Support via https://support.kahoot.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
