  • I don't want the answers to be randomized.  Can I change that?

  • Hello @johnrmckelvey, Yes, you can change the answer randomization settings in Kahoot! When hosting a live game, you have the option to toggle the randomization of answer order in the game settings. Follow these steps to modify the settings:

    1. Start hosting a live game.
    2. Click the gear wheel icon in the bottom right corner of the host's screen to access the live game settings.
    3. Navigate to the "Randomize order of answers" and toggle the switch to disable it if you do not want the answers to be randomized.

This setting allows you to control whether the answers appear in a set order or in a random order for each question. Please ensure that the game settings are saved so that they apply to the next time you host.

  • Is there a way to change the options from shapes to A, B, C, and D?

  • Hi @mdotson66 ! Thank you for your feedback.

Kahoot! currently does not support automatic assignment of letters (A, B, C, D) to answer options within the platform. However, you can manually add letters or numbers to answer boxes when creating a quiz.

To format the answer options with letters, you can type them directly into the answer fields as follows:

    a) pink
    b) purple
    c) blue
    d) green

Alternatively, if you prefer to use numbers, it would look like this:

    1) pink
    2) purple
    3) blue
    4) green

By doing this, the letters or numbers will be displayed on both the participant's and host's screens during the quiz (make sure that the participants can see questions on participant's screen).

  • Is there a way to turn on CC on YouTube videos that are embedded into the questions? I have students who require Closed Captioning legally and haven't found a way to implement that on Kahoot.

  • Hello tcornia, turning on CC on YouTube videos is possible. To do it: pause the video and then click "c" . After playing the video again it should show CC.
