How to upgrade
To upgrade click the Upgrade button in your account's top navigation bar.
Alternatively, you can go directly to the pricing page and select the relevant plan there:
You can upgrade anytime with an immediate effect. The billing cycle is restarted upon the upgrade so the new subscription will last for a whole new cycle (12 months in the case of annual plans and 1 month in the case of monthly plans).
Upon upgrading, you will be charged the full price for the new plan (subtracting the value of the remaining unused time in your active billing cycle).
The time remaining on your active subscription will determine the precise amount that will go towards the upgrade as a credit. We will only charge you for the difference between the credit (prorated value of your remaining billing cycle) and your new subscription price.
What does it mean that my billing cycle will be restarted?
When you upgrade your annual subscription after e.g. six months, your billing cycle will reset and you will be invoiced for the new period in full i.e. 12 months.
Our system counts it according to this formula:
([new plan price] - [old plan price]) x [time on old plan]
For example, let's say...
- You paid $100 to start your current annual subscription.
- After 6 months you decide to upgrade.
- Your new subscription costs $200 annually.
- Your billing cycle will reset and you will be charged for the new plan.
$200 - 0.5*$100 = $150 upgrade fee. This is how much you will pay for the upgrade.
$50 will be used as credit from the previous subscription.
Your new billing cycle will be set up for 12 months.
How to downgrade
While you can schedule a downgrade at any time, please note that we do not prorate or refund for downgrades. Downgrades are effective upon renewal, after the end of your current paid period and at the start of your next paid period.
You can downgrade via the "upgrade now" link in your account's top navigation bar or any "upgrade now" link within our platform. A list of available plans will be displayed for you to choose. Simply choose a new plan and confirm new payment terms.
Once a downgrade takes effect, you'll still have access to content you created, however, some features may no longer be available to you. You'll be able to host games, but you won't be able to save edits.
To save your game, you will either have to:
- upgrade to a higher plan, or
- delete that question type.
